"Innovative Programs for Women in STEM"

Brookhaven Lab's Associate Laboratory Director for Environment, Safety, and Health, Gail Mattson, will speak on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) programs available to young women embarking on STEM careers. All are welcome. All visitors to the Laboratory 16 and older must bring a photo I.D. Mattson is a member of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). SWE develops outreach and professional programs to inspire and encourage the next generation of women engineers. Highlights of successful and innovative STEM programs will be presented, along with information on other STEM organizations around the world.
