"Is there a low p_T anomaly in the pion momentum spectrum at LHC?"

Presented by Pasi Huovinen, University of Wroclaw

Tuesday, November 15, 2016, 11:00 am — Small Seminar Room, Bldg. 510

The low p_T part of the pion spectrum measured by the ALICE collaboration has turned out to be very difficult to reproduce using conventional fluid dynamical approaches. In this talk I discuss how the finite width of rho mesons affects the yield of rhos and the distribution of pions originating from rho decays, and how inclusion of the finite width in the
description of resonances may help to explain the low p_T pion data.
