"Nucleon form factors from lattice QCD"

Presented by Dr Dalibor Djukanovic, Helmholtz-Institut Mainz, Mainz University

Thursday, April 15, 2021, 9:00 am — Videoconference / Virtual Event (see link below)

Abstract: Observables that describe nucleon structure, like charges and form factors, are important probes for our understanding of the strong interactions in the nonperturbative regime. With increasing precision, both experimentally and theoretically, hadronic observables feature more prominently in searches of new physics especially at low energies. In recent years, on the theory side, Lattice QCD calculations progressed significantly, improving precision to a level where systematic effects in the extraction of nucleon quantities may play an important role. I will report on recent progress in the calculation of the nucleon charges and form factors from lattice QCD on CLS N_f=2+1ensembles.
