A family of iridium- and ruthenium-based homogeneous catalysts will be introduced as tools both for dehydrogenating liquid organic hydrogen carriers and for the synthesis of oxidized and aminated fine chemicals. Detailed mechanistic work and process development for hydrogen on demand will be presented.
