The development of new detector technologies has significantly advanced scientific research, enabling the generation of large volumes of high-resolution data. While these innovations unlock new possibilities for deeper insights and discoveries, they also present practical challenges in managing, processing, and working with such vast datasets. In this talk, we will discuss key challenges associated with large-scale data handling, including storage, transfer, and real-time analysis. We will also explore how cloud computing technologies offer practical, flexible, and ready-to-use tools to address these challenges. These include automating data pipelines, enabling collaborative, high-performance data analysis workflows, sharing software, and fostering collaborative development. Using real-world examples, we aim to illustrate how cloud-based approaches can accelerate scientific research, enhance reproducibility, and support faster progress in addressing the growing demands of large-scale scientific data.
