You are cordially invited to the 2024-25 Brookhaven Science Scholars Symposium on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 3:30 – 6:00 p.m. in Berkner Hall. Over 170 students from middle and high schools across Long Island who participated in different Office of Workforce Development & Science Education (WDSE) educational and research programs will present their findings across 60 posters. Research projects span the fields of scientific computing, AI/ML, environmental science, structural biology, environmental systems biology, materials science, and more, with numerous projects having been conducted at the NSLS-II. Elizabeth Worcester from the Physics Department will provide the keynote address titled: "DUNE: Studying the Elusive Neutrino on a Grand Scale." All are encouraged to attend to support these young scientists and learn about their impressive research! Welcome and Keynote Address: 3:30 - 4:15 p.m.; Poster Sessions: 4:15 - 5:35 p.m.; Closing Remarks and Reception: 5:35 - 6:00 p.m.; This is an Open to the Public event.
