Terga belongs to a Catholic Missionary Order and has been a mis­sionary in Guatemala for more than 20 years. He has worked with the Mayan Indians, learned to speak the Mayan native language “Poqonchi,” has written nine books on the history of the different regions of Guatemala, and is preparing his eleventh book on the people of Puerto Rico from 1508-1724.
