Physics Colloquium

"High Energy and Condensed Matter Physics: Parallel Universes"

Presented by Alexei Tsvelik, Physics - BNL

Tuesday, October 25, 2005, 3:30 pm — Large Seminar Room, Bldg. 510

Discuss the main ideas which hold together high energy and condensed matter physics: the concepts of symmetry breaking, renormalization, confinement etc. Show how through the years both fields have borrowed ideas from each other which have lead to great discoveries.
