"Snapshots" of Enzyme Action: Mechanism of Action of a Xenobiotic Enzyme, a Flavin-Containing Monooxygenase from Yeast"

Presented by Subramanian Eswaramoorthy, BNL Biology Department

Friday, September 15, 2006, 11:00 am — John Dunn Seminar Room, Bldg. 463

Elimination process of non-nutritional compounds including drugs is called xenobiotic metabolism and is critical for any living organism. Functional mechanism of one such enzyme, flavin-containing monooxygenase, involved in this process will be discussed using structural snapshots of different stages of the reaction.
