"Laboratory Sequencing Program - Opportunities for Whole-Genome, EST and PCR-Based Sequencing"

Presented by Jerry Tuskan, Head of Laboratory Sequencing Program and Member of Plant Molecular Ecology Group, Oak Ridge National Laboratory

Wednesday, November 1, 2006, 2:00 pm — John Dunn Seminar Room, Bldg. 463

In the context of modern molecular biology, the Joint Genome Institute has launched a new program in an effort to meet the DOE laboratory system's needs for sequence data. Fifteen percent of the JGI's annual sequencing capacity will be directed towards these efforts at no cost to DOE-based projects. All project leads, individual PI's and scientific and technical staff interested in sequence-based science should attend.
