The LHC will turn on in Summer 2008. The presentation will review the current status of the machine as well as the ATLAS detector, focusing more particularly on the Trigger and data acquisition systems. Emphasis will be given to the strategy ATLAS is taking to prepare itself for first collisions and first physics.
