This talk will focus on the current flow through magnetic single-molecule transistors measured at low temperature. Of the two types of high-spin molecules used in these devices, one has a high degree of magnetic anisotropy (Mn12) while the other is roughly isotropic (N@C60). Devices made from each of these types of molecules exhibit distinctive transport characteristics in the presence of an applied magnetic field due to their intrinsic magnetic properties. In addition to the experimental data, some background on the theory of Coulomb blockade will be presented, along with numerical simulations corresponding to the experiments.
