Center for Functional Nanomaterials Seminar

"Processing and Analyzing Organic Photovoltaics and Organic Field Effect Transistors for Use in Integrated Systems"

Presented by John Kymissis, Columbia University

Monday, December 13, 2010, 10:30 am — Bldg. 735 - Large Conf Rm - 2nd Floor

Organic semiconductors are serious contenders for a number of next generation device architectures including low cost photovoltaics and versatile thin film transistors. While many processes are developed using an Edisonian approach, many groups, including ours, have been developing strategies to elucidate the underlying mechanisms of the process-performance link in these systems. We will present several unit operations and device structures of interest for our group, and will also discuss some of the strategies we are developing for device characterization including new inverse modeling approaches, beamline techniques, optical measurements, and noise analysis.
