"Generalized Parton Distributions and hard exclusive processes"

Presented by Dieter Mueller, Brookhaven National Laboratory

Tuesday, September 13, 2011, 11:00 am — Small Seminar Room, Bldg. 510

Hard exclusive hadronic processes allow to resolve the internal structure of hadrons and even nuclei from a new perspective and provide so complementary information to those obtained from inclusive measurements. The non-perturbative partonic content, accessible in these processes, is encoded in generalized parton distributions and distribution amplitudes. In this talk the theory is shortly introduced and phenomenological applications are discussed.
