Condensed-Matter Physics & Materials Science Seminar

"Common feature of unconventional superconductivity"

Presented by Xianhui Chen, Hefei National Laboratory for Physical Science at Microscale and Department of Physics, China

Monday, December 19, 2011, 1:00 pm — Small Seminar Room, Bldg. 510

I give the phase diagram of iron-pnictide and chalcogenide superconductors. I show you the coexisitence of superconductivity and antifrromagnetim in iron-pnictides, while a phase sepatation of SC and AFM in iron-chalcogenides. However, the SC and AFM is correlated although the two phases are separated. Tc is enhanced from 32 K to 44 K by suppressing the long range AFM order in KxFe2-xSe2. I also show you the asymmetry in hole- and electron-doped 122 system. In this talk, I also talk about the superconductivity in organic hydrocarbons, and give the evidence for unconventional superconductivity in organic hydrocarbons superconductors.
