"Search for a Standard Model Higgs Boson at ATLAS"

Presented by Scott Snyder, Brookhaven National Laboratory

Tuesday, December 20, 2011, 3:30 pm — Hamilton Seminar Room, Bldg. 555

The ATLAS experiment at the LHC recently released updated results on the search for a Standard Model Higgs boson, using up to 5 fb^-1 of p-p collision data at a center-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. In this talk, I will review the status of the Higgs search at ATLAS, concentrating on the recently updated results, and discuss the prospects for the discovery or exclusion of a Standard Model Higgs during the upcoming 2012 run of the LHC.
