C-AD Accelerator Physics Seminar

"The Role of Gluons and Sea Quarks in the Visible Universe: Through the Looking Glass of the Electron Ion Collider"

Presented by Abhay Deshpande, SUNY Stony Brook

Friday, January 13, 2012, 4:00 pm — Snyder Seminar Room, Bldg. 911A

Prof. Deshpande will give a broad overview of the physics motivations of the electron ion collider and review some important questions in QCD, which will remain unresolved if the EIC is not built. Towards the end, he will talk about the short/long term milestones to be achieved to get the EIC on the path of realization.
