"Asian Pacific American Heritage Month event: 6th Annual Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Celebration"

Saturday, May 24, 2014, 1:00 pm — Vajiradhammapadip Buddhist Temple & Thai Cultu

The 6th annual celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month at the Vajiradhammapadip Buddhist Temple and Thai Cultural Center is co-sponsored by multiple local groups, including BNL, and hosted by the Suffolk County Office Asian American Advisory Board. There will be dance, music, and vocal performances from ten Asian countries, multi-cultural booths with arts and crafts displays, workshops, and the presentation of awards. FREE from 1pm to 5pm. This year, Dr. Wu-Tsung Weng, of the Collider-Accelerator Department, was nominated by the BNL APAA for an award and has been selected to be honored at this event as a distinguished Asian American professional. He will be presented with a proclamation by the Suffolk County Executive during the 4:30pm theater performance (tickets required). Please join us at this event in congratulating Dr. Weng for this recognition!
