This May, the Lab celebrates Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with events designed to honor the rich traditions and significant contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. Join us for the Candid Conversation Series, first featuring Abhay Deshpande, director of the Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) and founding director of the Center for Frontiers in Nuclear Science at Stony Brook University. Abhay has been a pivotal figure in nuclear/particle physics, contributing to experiments globally and developing the EIC science community. His session will take place on May 1, 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. (right after the flag-raising event), in the Physics (Bldg. 510) Large Seminar Room.
