Superconducting Magnets

Piyush Joshi is a research engineer and group leader at
the Superconducting Magnet Division. He is a highly
experienced and versatile senior research Electrical
Engineer with expertise in superconducting accelerator
magnets, energy storage magnets, semiconductor
physics, superconductivity, industrial automation, power
transmission and generation, magnetically levitated
transport system, electromagnetic launchers, analog and
digital electronics, fast data acquisition, simulation and
control software.
Piyush received his electrical engineering degree from
SBM Polytechnic in India and Doctoral Engineer degree
in Electrical Engineering at NYU Polytechnic. He
received Department of Energy's "Honor Award for R&D
on Superconducting Magnets for Particle Accelerator
and High Energy Physics". In 2015 he received
Brookhaven Lab "Engineer of Year" award
