PubSci lets you chat with expert scientists over a drink. See the casual side of cutting-edge research and scientific discovery happening every day at Brookhaven National Laboratory. This series hops around Long Island covering different topics from the Big Bang to tomorrow's technologies. In this installment, researchers will discuss how Brookhaven's Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) has pushed the boundaries of what scientists know about ordinary matter at its most fundamental level and goals for the upcoming Electron-Ion Collider (EIC), a one-of-a-kind collider facility. They will address key questions, including why a new collider is needed, what the EIC will see and how what we will learn at the EIC will benefit us. RSVP to earn bonus entries raffle entries!
