Workshop on
"EDM2001: The Future of EDM Measurements of Electron, Muon, and Nucleon"
May 14-15, 2001
Purpose:
This meeting will provide an update on the status of the Electron, Muon and Nucleon EDM current/future experiments and an update on the theoretical understanding of EDMs in SUSY in conjunction with the recent Muon g-2 result.
Location:
The EDM Workshop will be held at Brookhaven National Laboratory in
Upton, N.Y. The two-day meeting will be conducted in the Large Seminar Room and
Lounge in the Physics Building, Bldg. 510.

The transparencies of the talks will be posted on the Web. There will not be published proceedings. However, please send us your transparencies in electronic form for posting. We can accept postscript,
PDF, and power point files or a copy of your talk to be scanned with a black/white scanner. Please e-mail your talk to Linda Feierabend at Feierabe@bnl.gov by May 28, 2001..Please send an e-mail message to Linda (Feierabe@bnl.gov ) and indicate which days you will be attending the workshop . We will also need to know whether we should reserve a ticket for the Dinner on Monday evening May 14 at Kirin, Japanese/Chinese Restaurant in Rocky Point (also indicate if you have any special dietary restrictions). The cost of the workshop fee includes the dinner on Monday evening. Please RSVP no later than Monday, May 7.
Housing Information:
Housing is available on-site for EDM Workshop attendees. Residences, single room/shared bath, ($20.00 per night) may be reserved by contacting Linda at feierabe@bnl.gov or 631-344-4887. (Please note: reservations are guaranteed and must be paid for if not canceled by 1:00 pm on the scheduled day of arrival.) If you wish on-site housing, please e-mail Linda with your arrival and departure dates and whether you prefer a non-smoking or smoking room. There may be a few one- room efficiency apartments on-site available at $6
6.00 per night. Please check with Linda for availability.We have also reserved a block of rooms at the Best Western at Exit 63 off the Long Island Expressway (495) at $95.00 per night. Reservations for these rooms must be made BEFORE APRIL 13, 2001 in order to receive this special rate. Your reservation must be guaranteed with a credit card. Please call 631-758-2900 and mention the "BNL EDM-Workshop" when making your reservation. Twenty-four hour advance notice is needed for cancellations, otherwise full room rate will apply.
Costs:
The Registration Fee for the two-day workshop will be $80.00. The fee includes workshop materials, dinner on Monday evening, May 14 and coffee breaks on Monday and Tuesday. Breakfast and lunch are on your own and can be purchased at our on-site cafeteria, Berkner Hall. Breakfast is served beginning at 7:30 am, lunch is served beginning at 11:30 am. The workshop will take a one hour noon-day break.
Checks should be made payable to "Brookhaven Science Associates" or BSA. VISA, Mastercard and American Express are also accepted.
