Walber de Brito

Software Developer

Walber de Brito joined Comscope as a postdoctoral fellow in May 2016. He is testing and applying different computational methods of the Comsuite, such as DFT+DMFT, GW, and GW+DMFT, to investigate the electronic structure of strongly correlated materials. At Comscope he appreciates the stimulating interdisciplinary atmosphere where experimentalists and theorists closely collaborate to develop state-of-the-art tools to uncover the various intriguing mechanisms of strongly correlated materials. Walber de Brito received his Ph.D. in physics from Federal University of Minas Gerais (Brazil), where he studied the electronic and magnetic properties of several materials, including vanadium and niobium dioxide.
