Yongxin Yao is a theoretical and computational condensed matter physicist. He is currently an associate scientist at US-DOE's Ames laboratory and also a key leading member of the Exploratory Development of Theoretical Methods FWP. Yongxin Yao joined Comscope in 2015 as the leading PI of the Comsuite development project with focus on the DFT/GW+Gutzwiller method. He has over ten years of experience in developing first-principles electronic structure methods. Comscope matches perfectly his interest and passion for better scientific methodology and machinery to uncover intriguing physics in real world complex quantum materials.
