Motivation

Brookhaven's Accelerator Test Facility (ATF) currently operates an MeV-Class Ultrafast Electron Diffraction (UED) Facility as part of its DOE Office of Science User Facility portfolio with the goal of further developing user capabilities in this area. With an increasing number of users, this workshop will provide an opportunity to discuss future prospects and directions for the facility as well as provide input on a path forward for the instrument to evolve into a standalone facility. The workshop will discuss the details of the instrument, past performance, and future possibilities.

Meeting Objective

The meeting will be used to develop future goals for the MeV UED capability at BNL and to identify user communities who would be interested in engaging with the facility in the future.

This UED Planning Workshop 2021 is open to the public. To be eligible to attend, all participants must register online by August 16, 2021. For questions or assistance with registering, please contact the Workshop Coordinator.
