Mow Shiah Lin Scholarship
APAA members and friends...to commemorate the life and career of Dr. Mow S. Lin, a scholarship has been created to further the work to which he gave his life.
The BERA Asian Pacific American Association has created the Dr. Mow Shiah Lin Scholarship in honor of Dr. Lin's achievements and remarkable research and inventions. The first Dr. Lin Scholarship was awarded in September, 2005.
Scholarship Application Information
In honor of Dr. Lin’s research, remarkable achievements, and inventions, a one-time award of $2,000 will be granted each year to a student of Asian heritage with a U.S. student visa matriculating toward a doctorate at an accredited institution of higher education on Long Island (including Queens and Brooklyn) in Environmental & Energy Technology, Biology, or Chemistry, in remembrance of the manner in which Lin began his career.
APAA is now accepting applications for the 19th Dr. Mow Shiah Lin Scholarship through June 7, 2023. Please see the documents below for more information.
