The connection information will be provided via email to registrants prior to the event. Please do not give out this connection information. It is only for registered attendees. Contact the workshop coordinator if you have questions or are having connection issues.

Accommodations

Participants should make their own hotel reservation. A block of rooms at the Home2 Suites has been reserved and shuttle service to the workshop will be provided. When booking your reservation, you may need to guarantee your room with a credit card. Remember to ask about their cancellation policy. Participants staying at other hotels will need to arrange their own transportation to the workshop.

Transportation

There is no public transportation to BNL, so attendees are advised to consider renting a car. However, we will provide complimentary transportation to and from Ronkonkoma Train Station to Home2Suites and between Home2Suites and BNL as follows:

  • Shuttle service from the Ronkonkoma Train Station to Home2Suites will be provided between 1pm and 4pm on Sunday October 20th (specific times to follow)
  • Shuttle service will be provided between Home2Suites and BNL Monday 21st – Wednesday 23rd.
  • Shuttle service from BNL, via Home2Suites, to the Ronkonkoma Train Station will be provided between 1pm and 4pm on Sunday October 20th (specific times to follow)

Event Access for Non-U.S. Citizens

Non-U.S. citizens must complete the additional Brookhaven Lab Guest Form and be approved in the Guest Information System (GIS) if they would like to attend this workshop.

It is advisable not to make travel arrangements until you are approved in GIS.

If you have a current Brookhaven Lab guest appointment and a valid BNL Guest Number or you have a pending Guest Registration (GR) Number, it is not necessary to complete the additional Brookhaven Lab Guest Form again.

Visa Information

Participants should check if they require a visa to enter the United States on the U.S. Department of State's U.S. Visas website.

Foreign travelers, who are citizens from certain eligible countries, may also be able to visit the U.S. for business (e.g., attend a scientific conference) or tourism for 90 days or less without a visa if they meet the Visa Waiver Program requirements. All eligible travelers who wish to travel under the Visa Waiver Program must apply for authorization online through ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization).
