Rock Bands The Electrix and Reckoning to Perform at Brookhaven Lab February 21

UPTON, NY — Local rock band The Electrix, together with the band Reckoning, will give a concert at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Brookhaven National Laboratory on Saturday, February 21, at 7:00 p.m. at Berkner Hall. Sponsored by the BNL Music Club, the concert is open to the public. All visitors to the Laboratory age 16 and over must bring a photo ID.
The Electrix are a six-piece band comprised of seasoned Long Island musicians playing acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin, fiddle, keyboard, and drums to perform classic rock songs from well-known bands such as The Grateful Dead and Allman Brothers, as well as original compositions.
Reckoning, also a Long Island six-piece band, is comprised of musicians who play tunes from the catalog of The Grateful Dead and Phish, as well as original compositions.
The show will open with a unique acoustic set from members of each group. Then, each band will perform separately. These local musicians represent the best of the region’s improvisational musicians.
