NSLS-II Ring Building Gap Closes

In a matter of hours, spread over two days, construction workers at the NSLS-II site closed the gap in the ring building. The half-mile circle is now complete.

The gap closing is captured in this sequence of photos, taken by a camera mounted at the 300-foot level on the red-and-white stack northwest of the construction site. When the stack is dismantled over the next few weeks, the only full view of NSLS-II will come from the camera on the water tower just northeast of the ring.
