BWIS Lecture: 'Unexpected Unions: A Physicist's Dip into the Art and Design World'
July 29, 2015
The discoveries and wonder of science have great capacity to inspire. During this Brookhaven Women in Science (BWIS) Lecture, theoretical physicist Ágnes Mócsy will discuss how, as a physicist and professor at an art and design institute, she has been able to share this inspiration with students and faculty from diverse backgrounds and use it to build cross-sections between physics and art and fashion. Mócsy will also explain how breaking down barriers between art, fashion, and science may better propagate the scientific way of seeing the world.
