Bob started his career at Brookhaven in 1991 as a staff engineer with the Environmental Protection Division.  Over the course of the past 32+ years he has held several engineering and management positions culminating in his current position with the NSLS-II, a position held since April 2013.  Prior to BNL he spent 6 years in the environmental consulting industry serving local industries with environmental compliance issues including regulatory permitting and environmental contamination investigation and remediation projects.  Bob currently manages a team of ESH&Q professionals who work collaboratively with accelerator and beamline scientists to ensure work is performed safely and systems and components meet the needs of the NSLS-II.

Bob's background has numerous specialty areas including: regulatory permitting, environmental assessments, design of waste water and air emission treatment systems, OSHA compliance (construction and industrial), safety and health assessments, and accelerator safety requirements.
