Expertise
Astrophysics and cosmology, microwave and radio frequency instrumentation, electromagnetic and mechanical design, cryogenics, Monte Carlo and AI/Machine Learning data analysis techniques.
Research Activities
I study cosmology, using the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) and Baryon Acoustic Oscillations (BAO). I work on microwave frequency telescopes to study the CMB, and 21cm wavelength radio telescopes to study the BAO. I focus on instrumentation, particularly instrument design and calibration, but also work on map filtering and analysis. At BNL I am working on radio instrumentation and on AI/ML techniques for data analysis in 21cm astronomy. I work on the BMX, HIRAX, LuSEE, and PUMA radio telescopes, and on the CMB-S4 microwave telescope.
