Cathy Cook

Cathy Cook is a proactive and resourceful professional with extensive expertise in administration, automation, event planning, and project management. Since joining Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) on August 1, 2022, Cathy has supported the Office of Research Partnerships and Technology Transfer (RPTT) and the Export Control Office (ECO) as a Senior Administrative Services Assistant. Before her time at BNL, she brought her skills to several manufacturing and high-voltage electronics engineering firms, contributing to operations, human resources, quality management, and marketing initiatives.

Currently, Cathy supports the Environmental Science and Technologies Department at BNL. In her role, she manages travel logistics, expense reporting, and event coordination. As Procurement Liaison, Cathy oversees credit card purchases, requisitions, and contracts, and she also serves as the Guest Information System (GIS) Administrator. Additionally, she provides vital support for HR-related tasks.

Cathy is an active participant in the Administrative Community of Practice Meetings and proudly serves as a member of the Administrative Professionals Steering Committee, further demonstrating her commitment to collaboration and professional growth.
