Edwin O. Lazo with his 10 years of macromolecular protein X-ray crystallography (MX) and beamline instrumentation experience has developed robotic sample changers to enable unattended and remote experiments. Besides maintenance and upgrades to the current systems, Edwin is also working in automating laboratory protocols using robotic liquid handlers for sample preparation that accelerated COVID-19 research efforts and other current developments.
