Uma has over 25 years of experience in the software industry. Before joining BNL in 2017, some of the companies she worked for included Philips Research, Norwest Mortgage, Anderson Consulting and Telcordia Technologies. She has developed software for robotics simulation, embedded systems, data reconciliation and computer security and has a few publications on that work. At BNL, she worked as part of the Biology Knowledgebase (KBASE) team and currently on scientific research data management.
