After working at multiple synchrotron facilities (Diamond Light Source, Australian Synchrotron) on MX beamline and their software, Jun has returned back to the US and been involved in implementing important updates of the Life Sciences Data Acquisition (LSDC) software, now used by three beamlines at NSLS-II, while developing sustainable and secure software systems for Cryo-Electron Microscopy experiments at LBMS, and other beamlines within the NSLS-II BEPS Division.

2013-2015 Software engineer for Scientific Computing, Diamond Light Source, Ltd., Harwell, UK. Work on DAWN for SAXS beamlines, ISPyB for BioSAXS prototyping.

2015-2019 Postdoctoral fellowship with Monash University/Australian Synchrotron. Worked on developing MX beamline data processing and acquisition systems.
