Janet supervises an office of professionals with a wide range of responsibilities, including creation, administration and compliance of all BNL contracts submitted to the Department of Energy. She and her group are responsible for the development, negotiation and execution of Master Agreements, CRADA’s, SBIR’s, and SPP contracts for both foreign and domestic entities. She identifies practices and strategies daily to improve the entire contract processing process.
Plans and strategies are reviewed as early in the contracting process as possible, to fully meet both the technical needs of the project and the downstream needs of the outside parties. She provides contractual guidance on scientific and commercialization goals to incorporate specific terms and conditions into these contracts. Janet works closely with the Legal team, Principal Investigators (PI’s) and Business Operation Managers (BOM’s) in this role to maintain compliant contracts.
Expertise
Janet is an accomplished leader with a broad base of experience in diverse environments in Contracts, Finance, Services, and Business Development. Janet has negotiated, reviewed, and managed billions of dollars of government contracts with these companies over the course of her career. After spending more than 20 years working with contracts, she has a proven track record of executing strategies that improve processes.
