Justin Goodrich joined the CHX (11-ID) beamline in April 2022 as a post-doctoral researcher on Brookhaven's "quantum enhanced microscope project". This project seeks to use quantum mechanically entangled X-rays to perform quantum imaging of sensitive materials, reducing the dose necessary to perform high-quality imaging of samples. In January 2024, he was promoted to research staff as an assistant physicist (RS-3). Justin now works half time on the quantum microscope project and half time on operations and user support at the CHX (Coherent Hard X-ray Scattering) 11-ID beamline.

Prior to joining BNL, he attained in PhD from Lehigh University, focusing on the development of novel III-nitride semiconductor materials and devices. Before attending graduate school, he also worked as an instrumentation and controls engineer for POWER Engineers, performing tasks related to the development and retrofitting of next generation power generation stations.
