Prior to joining BNL he worked as a Project manager in Philips MRI manufacturing facility in Albany, Upstate NY from 2016 to 2021. A Senior magnet engineer in GE Global Research Facility in Niskayuna Upstate NY from 2009 to 2016. A senior scientist working in the superconducting magnets and cryogenic group at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory from 1998 to 2009. James Holds a hold a PMP (Project Management Professional) certification. A PhD for research in experimental physics to develop Cryogenic X-Ray microcalorimeters for space observation platforms. which he obtained at University College London in 2002.
