Lacy is an Operations Engineer at the NSLS-II user research facility. She leads the implementation and refinement of programs and processes that enhance scientific operations, reinforce compliance, and strengthen institutional risk management at Brookhaven National Laboratory.

Expertise
At NSLS-II, she has lately focused on integrating research screening frameworks and export control reviews (including SBMS subject area revisions) to support the release of open science research. Prior to BNL, Lacy managed multidisciplinary beamline upgrade projects (hardware/software/sample environments) at ORNL’s SNS and HFIR, and worked as a Scientific Associate for inelastic neutron scattering beamlines. Earlier in her career, she was an Environmental Geochemist responsible for compliance reporting, environmental sampling, QA/QC, and data validation.
