Dr. Arephin Islam is a Research Associate in BNL’s Catalysis Reactivity and Structure group. He studies 2D structures, metal-oxide/nitride interfaces, and thin films for CO2 and CH4 conversionas well as electrocatalysts for water electrolysis, employing advanced spectroscopic and microscopic techniques like AP-XPS, AP-STM, SEM, IRRAS, XANES, EXAFS and Raman spectroscopy.
