Thomas is a Staff Mechanical Engineer at Brookhaven National Laboratory in the Insertion Devices Group working on the National Synchrotron Light Source II. Thomas has previous experience designing custom X-Ray Electro-Mechanical Systems for NDT (Non-Destructive Testing). Where he designed multi-axis systems to achieve repeatability of 5-10 microns.
Thomas’ responsibility is to lead the mechanical design of ID group activities, R&D Development for ID group, R&D support for accelerator. As well as work control coordinator for the ID group and mechanical aspect of ID maintenance.
