Thomas Mc Donald

Tom started at BNL in 1990 as a member of the NSLS Power Supply group. In this role he got to fabricate, test, troubleshoot and repair the various power supplies and associated sub-systems at NSLS. In 1999, Tom joined the NSLS Control room staff as an Operations Coordinator, involved with all aspects of accelerator and beamline operations oversight. In 2009 he joined the NSLS ESH staff where he became responsible for the testing program of all Personnel Protection Systems (PPS). At the NSLS-II, Tom continues to lead PPS testing efforts and assists the NSLS-II Safety Officer with configuration control and operational oversight for the accelerators and beamlines.
