Hispanic Heritage Month Speaker Luz J. Martinez-Miranda on Liquid Crystals, Nano, and Underrepresented Minority Experience in STEM

In recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Brookhaven Lab Hispanic Heritage Group hosted Luz J. Martinez-Miranda of the University of Maryland to speak on her experience as a scientist studying the interaction of liquid crystals with nanoscale materials, her background, challenges she faced as an underrepresented minority in the STEM fields, and how she overcame those challenges.
