Adaptive Variational Simulation for Open Quantum Systems

C²QA Quantum Thursdays: Emerging quantum hardware provides new possibilities for quantum simulation. While much of the research has focused on simulating isolated quantum systems, the real-world quantum systems constantly interact with external environment, which is referred to as an open quantum system. To better understand the real-world scenarios, it is essential to develop quantum algorithms that can effectively simulate open quantum systems.
