Summit Speaker
Emily Greenspan
Biomedical Informatics Program Director in the National Cancer Institute’s (NCI’s) Center for Biomedical Informatics and Information Technology (CBIIT)
Dr. Greenspan serves as the NCI federal program lead for the NCI-Department of Energy (DOE) Collaboration, which applies artificial intelligence (AI) approaches and advanced computing to specific areas of cancer research. The NCI-DOE Collaboration encompasses three distinct predictive oncology projects, AI-Driven Multi-Scale Investigation of the RAS/RAF Activation Lifecyle (ADMIRRAL), Modeling Outcomes Using Surveillance Data and Scalable AI for Cancer (MOSSAIC) and Innovative Methodologies and New Data for Predictive Oncology Model Evaluation (IMPROVE), as well as the Accelerating Therapeutics for Opportunities in Medicine (ATOM) Consortium. She also supports computational modeling activities and initiatives across NCI and NIH through leadership and participation in multiple efforts, including the CBIIT AI and High Performance Computing Working Group, the trans-NCI AI Working Group, the NIH STRIDES Working Group, and the NASEM study on “Foundational Research Gaps and Opportunities for Digital Twins”.
