Brookhaven National Lab follows the nationwide identification requirements for federal site access. Anyone 18 years of age and older must have a valid REAL ID, Enhanced ID, Passport or one of these alternate forms of ID to gain access the Laboratory.

Motivation

This workshop will bring together researchers to discuss the application and development of ambient pressure X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (AP-XPS) in a wide variety of scientific topics including catalysis, electrochemistry, materials science, and environmental science.

The workshop will feature talks from plenary and invited speakers as well as from contributed speakers, a poster session, and a technical discussion session. Participants will have the opportunity to share and learn about the latest scientific discoveries, technical developments of AP-XPS instrumentation, and discuss the future direction in the field.

This APXPS 2025 Workshop is open to the public. To be eligible to attend, all participants must register online by November 26, 2025. For questions or assistance with registering, please contact the Workshop Coordinator.

NSLS-II Facility Tour

Registered participants can tour the National Synchrotron Light Source II (NSLS-II), a state-of-the-art, 3 GeV electron storage ring designed to deliver world-leading intensity and brightness on Friday, December 12, 2025, 1:30 p.m.–4:00 p.m.

As one of the newest, most advanced synchrotron light sources in the world, it can create light beams 10 billion times brighter than the sun. These light beams are then directed towards specialized experimental stations called beamlines. Bus transportation will be provided from Atlantis Hotel and Conference Center/Brookhaven Lab. Accommodations

This event will have a hotel room block reserved with limited rooms at the negotiated rate. Participants should make their hotel reservation as soon as possible. When booking your reservation, you may need to guarantee your room with a credit card. Remember to ask about their cancellation policy and if they offer shuttle service. Details
