Office of Research Administration (ORA)

Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) is a multi-disciplinary national research laboratory operated by Brookhaven Science Associates, LLC, (BSA) under a prime contract with the US Department of Energy (DOE). BNL is dedicated to basic and applied investigation in a multitude of scientific disciplines, including experimental and theoretical physics, nuclear medicine, chemistry, biology, materials science, energy research, environmental research and engineering.

The Office of Research Administration (ORA) has the responsibility to provide support for Human Subjects Research, the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) for animal research, as well as the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) for research activities involving regulated biological material.
