Andrea Reed

Andrea serves as the Chief of Staff for the Director’s Office. Previously, she was at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, where she worked since 2014 as the Business Operations Manager for SLAC’s Office of the Director, overseeing its day-to-day operations.  

As Chief of Staff, Andrea acts as the “right hand” to the Laboratory Director and serves as a trusted advisor. In this role, she supports the execution of key strategies, takes action to advance organizational objectives, distills and organizes information, helps set priorities, and facilitates the effective flow of information to and from the Director’s Office. Andrea works closely with the Deputies for Science and Operations to advance the Lab Agenda. She also oversees the daily operations of the Director’s Office through collaboration with the Senior Leadership Council and other stakeholders, ensuring that deliverables are tracked through completion.

Among her additional priorities, Andrea partners with the communications team in Stakeholder Relations to coordinate communication materials on behalf of the Director. This includes preparing presentations, brochures, announcements, messages, remarks, speeches, and supporting laboratory visits.
