Dr. Amirthagunaraj "Raj" Yogarathnam's research is focused on power system dynamics and control, renewable energy integration, High Voltage DC (HVDC), Hybrid Multi-terminal DC (H-MTDC), machine learning application in power system, emergency control applications in modern power grid, distributed energy resources, and data analytics. His research experiences cover the interdisciplinary boundary of renewable energy integration, formal analysis of power system dynamics, grid stabilization, Cyber-security of Power Systems, application of networked control theory in power systems, and model reduction of power systems with renewable resources.
